The 2017 Hixon meeting was a huge success! Dr. Larry Tadlock gave an excellent presentation on several topics including the current state of the profession, the importance of having a strong alumni association, new perspectives on the effects of growth and aging as well as extraction vs. non-extraction treatment on the face, and the importance of developing specific treatment objectives in order to have a successful treatment plan.

Dr. Tadlock had a unique and very valued perspective as he is not only a private practice clinician, the program director at the Baylor Orthodontic Department, an ABO director, but a researcher as well. It has become increasingly harder to find speakers that aren't financially vested in any one specific product and we feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to have Dr. Tadlock lecture to us here in Portland.

This is the first year in our history that we have had a speaker request to have their honorarium donated back to their alumni association. A donation from our alumni association will be made to the Baylor Orthodontic Alumni Association in Dr. Tadlock's honor.

THANK YOU DR. TADLOCK!
